Join us at The Merrymac Farm Sanctuary the first Saturday of each month from 9am-noon to be a part of our TEEN volunteer team. This allows students to come together and share their love for animals, as well as volunteer at the sanctuary to learn more about the wonderful residents who live here.
Things to KNOW:
You must sign up prior to coming so the waiver and appropriate paperwork can be signed by a guardian.
You must respect that you are at a sanctuary and behave appropriately. First and foremost this is a home for abused or neglected animals that live here forever, and they must be respected.
You can only bring vegan snacks to the sanctuary to eat while you are here. We are hoping to get going folks to work towards signing up to bring and share snacks.
You must wear long pants and boots at the farm. It keeps you safe and allows you more freedom to interact with the animals.
What will you do at the SANCTUARY?
On Saturdays, the “club” will allow students to work with staff and other volunteers at MMFS, but they will also have some “teen” time to talk about humane education, sanctuary ideas, social media filming/tech involvement if desired, animal care of our residents that live here, and also just have some social time with like-minded individuals.
Who can come?
Any current 9-12 grade students in the surrounding area. We are a fully inclusive farm that welcomes any and all individuals. We are very LGBQT+ friendly and a safe spot for all. Be kind to all – that is who we are!
Fee: Suggested Donation of $10/month to help start a scholarship fund for our high school internship program as well as supply vegan snacks!
How to sign up?
