Stable Skills: Horsemanship 101 Class


Want to spend some 1 on 1 time with some of our most beloved rescue horses?

Gain hands on experience in horsemanship for this 2 hour class. Era, our founder and director will work directly with students and share her knowledge of working with horses for decades. This is not a riding class, it is ground work with a horse such as leading, grooming, hoof picking, basic horse skills and safety. Space is limited to 4 students

Additional Information:

  • Wear clothing to be outside. Long pants and closed toed shoes (boots are best)

  • You are strongly encouraged to bring a water bottle

  • This event will be held rain or shine.

  • Animals should be treated with the utmost respect and caution. Many of our rescues have had difficult lives and require a peaceful home.

  • Do not bring food and do not feed animals.

  • Do not bring companion animals. We cannot accommodate service animals

  • If you have a farm or visit farm animals, you will need to wear clothing and footware that has not been exposed to your barn for biosecurity. 

  • If you have signed up and cannot attend the event, your ticket will become a donation to the sanctuary.
