Definitely. Merrymac is home to over 100 rescued farm animals including 21 horses, 5 donkeys, 3 cows, 25 pigs, 20 sheep, 20 goats, 16 rabbits, 7 turkeys, and dozens of chickens and ducks. We will guide you through the property and introduce you to some of the animals, and share their stories.

Our residents’ well being is our top priority. MMFS is a farm sanctuary, not a petting zoo, and our residents determine how and when they interact with humans. Some animals were raised by humans and they LOVE soaking up all the attention and petting they can get. Others maybe have been abused or grew up without human contact at all so they are skittish around people. Most fall somewhere in between and have individual preferences regarding how, where, and by whom they consent to be touched - which can change depending on mood. Just like dogs, cats, and most people. We do our best, every day, to accommodate the preferences of each resident and not force them into uncomfortable situations for our convenience.
